    The Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining collegial relationships within the community while recruiting students and families to the ministry provided by Upbring School.


    Essential Duties  

    • Articulate the school’s mission effectively to community partners, families, and applicants
    • Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with the school’s faculty and staff and with the other admissions staff
    • Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school's constituency and the general public.
    • Establish, cultivate, and maintain a collegial working relationship with feeder preschools / schools and churches throughout the community
    • Schedule and lead personalized tours of Upbring School campus and amenities
    • Create and manage a recruitment process utilizing a variety of marketing strategies that enables families within the community to learn about the ministry of Upbring School inspiring enrollment
    • Set measurable, ambitious and attainable goals for the school year to maximize enrollment
    • Work with the Director of Admissions & Family Engagement to create and facilitate events that provide opportunities for community engagement
    • Screen school-age applicants to ensure probability of academic success
    • Utilize RenWeb/Facts systems to enroll students and manage tuition payments
    • Work with staff to ensure and maintain attractive, organized, functional, healthy, clean, and safe facilities, with proper attention to the visual appearance, acoustics, and temperature
    • Coordinate with Director of Admissions to ensure that all communications, including admissions materials, ensure consistency and integrity of the Upbring brand across the association of schools
    • Plan and attend all admission events and activities including periodic weekend and evening community events
    • Set professional ethics at all times and demonstrate a loving, Christ-like character.
    • Cooperate and support the administration in implementing all policies, procedures and directives governing the operation of the school.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality on private and personal matters.
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned


    Working Relationships

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure a loving, rigorous, and safe environment across the entire school.
    • Establish and maintain open lines of communication providing accessibility to students and families beyond the course of the typical school day
    • Work as a team player exhibiting professional behavior and a positive attitude with leadership, staff, the church, volunteers, children, and families that reflects positively on the school and is consistent with school policies, practices, and code of ethics

    Career Progression


    This position is eligible for promotion/transfer if appropriate position is available, the employee meets minimum qualifications, the promotion/transfer eligibility guidelines are met, and the employee is not on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).


    Physical Demands & Work Conditions

    • This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time while speaking, with periodic stents of standing, walking, and speaking
    • Position works in a facility with and around children on a regular basis
    • Lift, push, pull, move up to 50 lbs.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a  job-related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of education
    • 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, or communications
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement recruitment and growth strategies
    • Strong computer skills; high proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and famililarity or ability to learn school readiness software applications
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and interact with all levels of management in a clear and concise manner
    • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks, requests, and projects while meeting deadlines
    • Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce quality well-written documents, reports, and correspondence
    • Ability to work independently and within a team; ability to take initiative with limited supervision


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Communications, Education
    • 5 years of experience in a similar recruitment position
    • Experience with RenWeb/FACTS or other school administration platforms
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (both written and conversational, based on service area and service population)
    • Spiritually mature Christian active in the worship life of his/her church
    • CPR/First Aid Certification
