The Therapist is a member of the program’s clinical team. The Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy, conducts assessments and works in collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop treatment plans and conduct utilization reviews. The Therapist is primarily responsible for the therapeutic needs and continuum of the clinical care for the residents in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, licensing standards, and federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
What You Can Expect
Therapists are trained in EMDR, while employed by Upbring and will also be training in bio-feedback approaches to be utilized in therapy sessions. Evidenced based and best practice approaches in the model of Trauma Informed Care including Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trust Based Relational Interventions, the Six Core Strategies for Reducing Seclusions and Restraints are used and resulted in significant improvements in outcomes. A multidisciplinary team approach to treatment is used that is inclusive of the children in our care as a valued voice.
