  • Overview

    The Reporting and Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the required components of the Disaster Case Management Program are being met through regular and on-going monitoring and evaluation.  This position will support the Director of Case Management and his/her team by providing constructive feedback and supportive training to address identified areas of quality improvement.  The goal of this position is to ensure compliance of program standards while providing the most efficient and strategic delivery of services to disaster survivors.   The Reporting and Compliance Manager will work in a coordinated effort with the Disaster Case Management Team to holistically support the recovery efforts of survivors in accordance to Agency standards, funding guidelines, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. 

    This is a grant funded position for a specified period of time per the grant and/or funding.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties  

    • Work closely with Disaster Case Management Team, specifically the Director of Case Management, to ensure program standards, guidelines and directives are met
    • Visit sites to conduct monitoring and evaluation of program compliance and prepare reports on findings
    • Create or utilize tools provided to best support evaluation practices
    • Review and monitor case files for compliance with program guidance and requirements
    • Review and monitor data quality to align with case files and program requirements
    • Provide constructive and supportive feedback to best support quality outcomes
    • Handles compliance and/or performance issues in a professional and discrete manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times
    • Work closely with team leadership to identify opportunities and needs for additional training
    • Provide on-site or web-based training as needed
    • Provide support to Director of Case Management as needed to ensure optimum program outcomes
    • Ensure all information is entered into required systems and databases to align with mandatory reporting deadlines
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or ad hoc reporting as required.
    • Other duties as identified to support the overall success of the program and client recovery outcomes
    • Position requires regular travel across assigned geographic area

     

    Working Relationships

    • Work in partnership and in collaboration with local disaster response and long-term recovery teams and the community to ensure clients are receiving the highest quality of services that meet their needs
    • Develop and maintain positive and strong working relationships with the disaster response and long-term recovery teams, Case Managers, program staff and volunteers to meet the needs of the clients, program goals and objectives and to ensure the program is operating in an effective and efficient manner
    • Work as a team player and exhibit professional behavior and a positive attitude with both internal and external clients that reflects positively on the Agency and is consistent with Agency policies and practices

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business, or closely related field; related experience may be considered in lieu of education
    • 1-year of training and/or compliance experience, inclusive of design and facilitation of trainings, audits/compliance reviews and tracking
    • 1-year of supervisory or management experience
    • 1-year experience with data reporting
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimum supervision
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
    • Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to apply compassion and empathy, while dealing with stressful and difficult situations while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times
    • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
    • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time throughout the Texas region
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience using web-based data collection systems

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Disaster response program management or disaster case management supervisory experience
    • Experience with supporting recovery efforts of disaster survivors
    • Experience with web-based client centric database

    Physical Demands & Work Conditions

    • This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time
    • Lift, push, pull, move up to 25 lbs.
