About Our Headstart Centers
Upbring Head Start Preschool provides a safe, inclusive place to learn, grow and thrive. The families receive support and services to complement the child’s education as the kindergarten transition nears.
What You'll Do as a Head Start Teacher in Training
The Head Start Teacher is responsible for the planning implementation, and administration of curriculum for 3 to 5-year-old children for the purpose of advancing their physical, cognitive, and social emotional growth and development in accordance with the Minimum Standards for Child Care, the Head Start performance standards, Upbring’s school readiness goals, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. The Head Start Teacher is also responsible for overseeing and providing developmentally appropriate educational skills with positive social interactions for preschool children to foster growth and development utilizing the Early Learning Outcomes and Frameworks (ELOF)domains in a safe and caring environment.
