Your Mission in Action

The Family and Community Program Director is responsible for the strategic oversight and continuous improvement of a program that serves children and families, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements. With a strong foundation in child welfare, foster care, or residential treatment, this role focuses on improving outcomes by combining program expertise with data-informed decision-making. This role analyzes program performance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements solutions that enhance services for children and families. Collaboration, quality improvement, and a commitment to best practices are central to the success of this role. 

 

This role is open to Texas residents statewide.

Responsibilities

  • The Family and Community Program Director will analyze program data to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and recommend improvements to the Chief Operating Officer. 
  • Collaborate with program leaders to ensure our initiatives are well-aligned and operating effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and establish key metrics that deliver measurable results. 
  • Lead quality improvement efforts by using data, industry trends, and program metrics to make informed decisions. 
  • Present analytical insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment. 
  • Partner with cross-departmental teams to consult on data flows, reporting needs, and data-driven solutions. 
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings to share updates on key projects, initiatives, and program performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field : and/or a combination of education and relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Five (5) years progressive related experience
  • Strong experience in data analyzation, measuring effectiveness, and communicating steps to improve
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to pay attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate excellent leadership skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years progressive related experience
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish based on service area and service population)

Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time
  • Position can require visits to a child facility and will have exposure to children
  • Position requires frequent standing, walking and occasional travel that requires hours of mobility
