We are looking for a dynamic and mission-driven Family Services Expansion and Engagement Director to lead program expansion and community partnerships that support the wellbeing of children and families. Your Mission in Action

The Family Services Expansion and Engagement Director drives program growth and strengthens child and family wellbeing by developing strategic partnerships and enhancing community engagement. This role identifies opportunities for expansion, collaborates with program leaders and community organizations, and ensures families, caregivers, and children have access to vital resources. By fostering connections and sharing information across programs, the coordinator helps build a strong, supportive network that improves outcomes for the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships to expand programs that enhance child and family wellbeing
  • Collaborate with program leaders, educators, clinical teams, and community organizations to implement initiatives that support children, families, and caregivers
  • Work closely with Community Engagement, Marketing, and Innovation teams to increase outreach and awareness
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, service providers, and community leaders to strengthen collaboration
  • Gather insights and feedback to shape digital tools and resources that benefit families and caregivers
  • Share impactful stories and advocate for the needs of children, families, and community members through clear and engaging communication
  • Coordinate with teams across the agency to connect families with wrap-around services that support long-term success

Who You Are:

  • You have a strong background in child welfare, education, early childhood programs, or community-based initiatives.
  • You thrive in community engagement, relationship-building, and partnership development.
  • You can identify opportunities for program growth and expansion while ensuring alignment with child wellbeing initiatives.
  • You are an effective communicator who can share program goals, impact stories, and industry trends with diverse audiences.
  • You’re comfortable working across teams to develop strategies and drive collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field  
  • Two (2) years' cumulative relevant experience working with diverse stakeholders, research, foster care or child welfare environment, and/or community engagement 
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain long-term relationships 
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision (oversight); take initiative and be a self-starter 
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Desktop publishing software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint)  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years’ experience in child welfare; demonstrated experience with community partnership building and community engagement

Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time
  • Position travels to and may work out of child facilities as needed, having exposure to children
  • Lift, push, pull, move up to 25 lbs.
