Your Mission in Action

The Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manager is responsible for the development, coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of program training for assigned programs in accordance with Agency, state licensing standards, CARF accreditation policies, funding requirements, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. The PSA Compliance Manager educates, trains, and advises, develops, and implements PSA policies/procedures; Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA).  Oversees implementation and ongoing compliance with the Interim Final Rule on UAC Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities.

 

Must be available to work two rotating shifts: 

First shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; Second shift: 2:00pm – 10:00 pm - Flexibility to work weekends is required. Schedules may vary based on program needs, and should be prepared for shift rotation and weekend assignments

Responsibilities

  • Involved in audits, including the preparation and development of corrective action plans to address any identified issues related to sexual abuse prevention 
  • Responsible for fostering a facility climate which condemns sexual abuse; provides resources and support to the programs; and educates staff and UC on how to report incidents of sexual abuse 
  • Responsible for educating staff and UC of the facility’s zero tolerance for all forms of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and inappropriate sexual behavior  
  • Conduct ongoing announced and unannounced dorm/cottage observations to monitor how employees are applying skills; identify safety issues and training needs and develop performance improvement plans to address and correct observed training needs 
  • Attend monthly PSA Compliance meeting; disseminate findings of monthly meeting with required program leads 
  • Ensure program employee attendance compliance with mandatory sexual abuse/sexual harassment awareness and prevention refresher training 
  • Emphasize the importance of zero tolerance to sexual abuse through leadership example, management presence, and unannounced rounds by leadership on all shifts 
  • Responsible for effectively and professionally communicate the right of UC and staff to be free from sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and inappropriate sexual behavior 
  • Actively participate in scheduled PSA audits program, during and after the audit, including development and review of the corrective action plan 
  • Assess and share with Senior Program Directors findings of PSA audits to improve other facility program outcomes of PSA audits 
  • Assists in the standardization of PSA policies, procedures, and training across the programs to meet required ORR, state licensing and CARF requirements 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields 
  • Two (2) years of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues
  • Must be 21 years of age or older per licensing requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information and translate into empirical data (metrics, structured reporting, data-driven analysis); ability to create scorecards and dashboards with relevant information to influence strategic planning, decision making, and meet department and Agency goals and objectives 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Organizational Development or Social Work 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (based on service population and service area)  
  • Five (5) years’ training and development experience

Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • This position requires sitting and looking and using a computer for long periods of time 
  • Position works in a child facility and has constant exposure to children
  • Position requires frequent standing, walking and time in units/cottages which are areas where children reside
  • Lift, push, pull, move up to 125 lbs. May be required to apply safety intervention with youth that could weigh over 100 lbs.
